I first saw Stan play around 4 years ago in Leeds. And as diminutive as he was back then the raw talent and natural energy that eminated from him was instantly undeniable. He was so exciting to watch and a fantastic example of the things that keep me so passionate about our sport.I feared that we would never link up, but I’m pleased to say that we have been getting stuck in together since late 2021and I can’t speak more highly of his attitude towards what I have thrown at him. This sport grows more competitive by the day, and there’s simply no guarantees for any emerging player in these times. But with the appropriate application Stan is definitely one of those you would categorise as having a great chance to reach for the top if they realise their potential as the season’s roll on. Early in 2022 Stan set the televised WST Shoot-out alight (link below) with an incredibly feisty yet composed display that was way beyond his tender years. Hopefully there lays lots of exciting times for this prodigious bundle of talent.
